Significant contributions to energy saving and environmental protection can be realized by this intelligent and transparent coating for different glass surfaces. Due to the combination of insulating and reflective properties, the heat is retained inside heated rooms during cold weather periods. In the summer time, the heat input into rooms is reduced by the coating. This product development can be utilized in architecture and in the automotive industry for example to optimize the property profile of conventional glasses. Incidentally, the coating can be applied to modify many existing glass surfaces.
