This self-reinforcing composite provides sustainable features and is based on a mass plastic material. Through the intelligent combination of the matrix and the reinforcement components a thermoplastic material is generated providing lightweight characteristics and mechanically sophisticated properties. Furthermore, the composite material can be recycled in an easy way. The carbon-like optic of the material is of high design relevance.
